After getting these errors, I updated the firmware for the 2 Dell PS6000 SAN's we have to version 7.1.5.
This went well, but after about a week the errors came again. Probably because the SAN's were rebooted. We have 4 Dell R710-servers that are the host-server for our Hyper-v-cluster and all run Server 2008 R2 Datacenter. These servers are totally up-to-date and have the latest Qlogic network drivers installed.
We removed the Dell Auto Snapshot Manager-software because we actually don't use this, but it was installed from the beginning so I don't think the software is causing the problem. We use Acronis for backup. In de ASM-software I can disable the notifications for the above errors, which gave me a peaceful night-rest instead of receiving almost constantly an email :-)
But we removed the software, but now I can't disable the notifications, but still receive the notifications... Don't know where the mail is coming from then...
Unfortunately Dell Support is not helping me very much, although we have a support contract. They send me a pdf-file containing a guide for configuring the SAN's in a Hyper-V-environment.
The errors are not logged in the event viewer from the Hyper-V-server.
Changing the Quorum to another host-server will result in the same errors, but then it wil say "on host HYPER-V13" for example
I hope someone can clarify me, what the errors mean...
