we are planning to upgrade our SAN firmware and have 3 errors that we need to resolve and (questions below.
SAN HQ Reports
1. The current group firmware (5.2.2) is incompatible with the disk firmware on drive 15 for member NewMilton4. Please contact your Dell support provider. Important disk support information: Model Number-SEAGATE ST31000340NS, Firmware Revision-XR38, and Serial Number- 9QJ3PA
I guess this will resolved with the Firmware upgrade itself? has anyone else seen / fixed this?
2. Warning: Member NewMilton5 network port cannot be reached. Unable to obtain network performance data for the member
I have checked the network interfaces for the MEMBERS 5 & 6 where this message is reported and all the interfaces on the members seem to be OK/UP. is it a red herring from SAN HQ ??
3. Warning: Member NewMilton6 RAID Lost Blocks
this one seems to be valid as I have identified the volumes with online-lost blocks. how is this fixed?
