Still migrating from my old T3600 to this new T3620. I'd like to connect to an old SCSI external drive, an old Micronet RAID that I have been using on my old T3600. I pulled the Adaptec 29160 from the old machine, got it to fit in the new PC, carefully attached the SCSI cable, powered up the Micronet, then the new PC, but the Micronet storage doesn't show up under "this PC". I have brought this SCSI drive along through several PC replacements, but don't remember how I set it up on the T3600.
Device manager shows a new SCSI Controller at PCI bus 3, device 2, but reports "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There are no compatible drivers for this device. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver." I had found a driver at http://adaptec.com/en-us/speed/scsi/windows/u160_w7_ws08r2_x86_drv_b7_5_645_100_exe.php that says it is for Windows 7 and 2008R2, so running it in Win 10 might be a problem. Yet I was running this SCSI card and RAID on the T3600 that started out Win 8 but had the automatic update to Win 10 applied.
Today, the new system would not boot with or without the 29160 card. I had to restore windows, then all my apps. Don't know if this card was the problem, but I want to avoid crashing windows again. Is there a newer wide SCSI PCI card out there that will work with Windows 10 and this T3620?
