Hello:
We are looking at upgrading our old Oracle VM 2.2.2 setup to Oracle VM 3.4.2. This is a major undertaking, to say the least. The 2.2.2 version uses /etc/multipath.conf to configure multiple paths to the EQL boxes. The best I can tell for VM 3.4.2 is that they also suggest configuring /etc/multipath.conf, but they also say that you can install "storage vendor supported" software on the system. The example they give is Powerpath for EMC.
My question is: Has anybody ever loaded a HIT kit on a V3 Oracle VM Server/Oracle VM Manager? Does anybody know of any reason why we shouldn't go that route instead of old-fashioned multipath?
Thanks.
